About this jobThe Trust is seeking a part time Consultant Psychiatrist (0.6 WTE) for the North Mersey Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHT), covering Liverpool & Sefton.
Key responsibilities include:
- Active involvement in the clinical work of the team, primarily at the site but also seeing service users at home as required;
- Providing management of complex cases and giving consultative advice on patient care to other team members;
- Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss patient allocations and responsibilities under the MHA Code of Practice;
- Formulating care plans and providing guidance on evidence based treatment and effectiveness;
- Liaising and collaborating with other services and agencies;
- Maintaining contemporaneous documentation electronically and ensuring timely communication with primary care colleagues;
- Ensuring compliance with the Trust's clinical governance framework;
Supporting the Trust's strategic aims of delivering "Perfect Care"; and - Participating in the Trust wide Tuesday morning Local Academic Postgraduate (LAP) programme (Local MRCPsych teaching) online via Teams as part of weekly SPA sessions.
The post holder will also be supported, where appropriate, to develop a special interest in a clinical area that aligns with the Trust objectives, and will be encouraged to pursue education and experience for professional development.
