We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon to join our highly regarded surgical team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton. Main duties of the jobAs our Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, you will:
- Lead on the delivery of Foot and Ankle orthopaedic procedures, including elective reconstructions, arthroscopies, and forefoot and hindfoot surgery.
- Provide high quality, patient focused care throughout the full surgical pathway from assessment and diagnosis to surgery and postoperative management.
- Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, theatre staff, nurses, physiotherapists, and RMOs to ensure safe and efficient patient journeys.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical governance activities to maintain the highest standards of safety and care.
- Support audit, research, and continuous improvement initiatives across the orthopaedic department.
- Contribute to training and mentoring of junior doctors and theatre staff, helping to foster a positive learning environment.

- Full GMC registration.
- Extensive experience in podiatry surgery, with a proven track record of delivering excellent surgical outcomes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A patient centred approach and genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding care.
- A commitment to audit, governance, and the continuous development of clinical practice.
