We are looking to further develop our Orthopaedic Hand Surgery service at Practice Plus Group Hospital Barlborough. As a Consultant Hand Surgeon, you will play a key role within our team, bringing your specialist expertise and experience to our elective surgical hospital.

What you'll be doing

You will be required to provide a high standard of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to patients with hand surgical conditions as required by the case mix agreed with the commissioning ICB. You will also provide advice and assessment of patients as requested by the nursing staff during routine working hours.

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest standard whether NHS or privately funded. You will be performing orthopaedic surgical procedures on patients referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.

From your extensive experience, you will able to offer expert clinical opinion and surgical skills on a range of orthopaedic hand problems.It is important that you are passionate about patient focused care, have an approachable manner and are willing and able to offer an exemplary level of patient care.
