Consultant Ophthalmologist with Interest in Paediatrics & StrabismusThe closing date is 15 November 2025
This role will be to support Paediatric services at Dorset County Hospital as we take our first steps towards One Dorset Ophthalmology service. The successful candidate will join our three current consultants with Paediatric interest at UHD and work closely with the team to deliver services across the county.

Person Specification Qualifications- Full GMC Registration
- Listed on GMC Specialist register or will within 6 months of interview date
- Higher degree MSc, MD or PhD
- Evidence of clinical competency to carry out role
- Knowledge of UK hospitals
- Knowledge of the management, NHS structures and managing waiting lists
- Evidence of clinical audits and understanding the role of audit in improving medical practice
