Consultant Neurophysiologist

Job summary

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our services, we are actively seeking experienced Consultants to join our team.

Who we're looking for

• GMC-registered Consultants who have been on the GMC Specialist Register for a minimum of 12 months.
• Are available to work weekends.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical expertise and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

• Attend to 16 patients per day, with 30 minute appointments for routine cases and up to 60 minute appointments for complex MND cases.
• Perform EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies), including standard, extended, and specialist investigations.
• Ensure standard turnaround time for reports within 7 working days (routine) and expedited reporting for urgent cases within 24 hours.

Working days and clinic hours

• Saturdays and Sundays.

Clinic hours: 09:00 - 17:30 (including a 30 minute lunch break). Additional capacity is available from 08:00 - 20:00 if required.

Session details

• Routine patients: 30 minute appointments.
• MND complex patients: 60 minute appointments.
• Admin time is built into patient appointment slots.
• New GP referrals.
• Follow up appointments are very rare; however, consultants would be expected to see any follow up patients if required.

Rate

• £2,200 per day via LTD Company.
• Weekly payment.

Person specification Qualifications

• Essential: GMC registered on the specialist register.
