About this job Clinical Responsibilities / Key Responsibilities- To assess and review patients and perform procedures as required
- To support the clinical decision making of medical and nursing staff
- To ensure timely and effective communication with primary care colleagues, including using the Trusts electronic discharge summary system
- To provide on call support out of hours
- To attend the department out of hours as per agreed protocols
- To remain contactable and available when on call
- Independently and safely conduct anaesthesia for a range of surgical specialties across any of the sites supported by GHNHSFT
- Provide conditions for improved training opportunities in line with national and local recommendations arising out of MMC and related requirements
- Participate in the undergraduate teaching programme
- Assist and participate with the development of postgraduate training for F1s, F2s, core trainees, StRs and other staff as appropriate
- Evidence of participation in Audit and Clinical Governance programmes
- Ability to manage and lead a clinical team
- Planning and organisation skills
