About this job Clinical Responsibilities / Key Responsibilities
  • To assess and review patients and perform procedures as required
  • To support the clinical decision making of medical and nursing staff
  • To ensure timely and effective communication with primary care colleagues, including using the Trusts electronic discharge summary system
  • To provide on call support out of hours
  • To attend the department out of hours as per agreed protocols
  • To remain contactable and available when on call
  • Independently and safely conduct anaesthesia for a range of surgical specialties across any of the sites supported by GHNHSFT
Professional Development, Education and Training
  • Provide conditions for improved training opportunities in line with national and local recommendations arising out of MMC and related requirements
  • Participate in the undergraduate teaching programme
  • Assist and participate with the development of postgraduate training for F1s, F2s, core trainees, StRs and other staff as appropriate
