Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
1 Full-time, Permanent Post (10 PAs per week 8 DCC 2 SPA)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and innovative Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within NHS Tayside.
The CAMHS OP Clinical Care Group encompasses a range of services, working across the three Local Authority Areas of Dundee, Angus and Perth & Kinross. The post can be based at CAMHS OP unit at Centre for Child Health at Dudhope Terrace, Dundee or at St Leonard's Bank, Perth but the successful candidate may be required to deliver services across Tayside. They will be expected to work in partnership with colleagues in Health and Social Care Partnerships, Primary Care Services, Education Sector, Social Work and other partner and third sector organisations to provide health care services for children and adolescents in Tayside.
The post holder must be medically qualified, have full GMC registration and hold a CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; candidates within 6 months of CCT at time of interview date would also be suitable to apply.
The post will be 10PAs inclusive of 2 SPAs (full time). The post holder will share CAMHS daytime (9-5pm) unscheduled care alongside the other out-patient CAMHS consultants. There is no evening or weekend working. Out of hours cover is provided by the Pan-Tayside psychiatry rota. Specialist areas of interest will be welcomed and developed in line with the needs of the individual and the service.
