The successful post - holder will be joining a dynamic team of 6 Consultant Audiovestibular physicians who work closely together with a large team of audiologists to provide secondary and tertiary Audiovestibular services to the South West London sector and beyond.
To deliver high quality clinical care in Adult Neurotology, Adult Hearing / Tinnitus and Paediatric Hearing.
To contribute to multi - disciplinary Clinical Genetics meetings, Adult and Paediatric Vestibular Research meetings, Interesting Case Discussion meetings and participate in quarterly South West Thames Regional Audit Group Peer Review meetings
Opportunities to engage in undergraduate / postgraduate teaching and research.

Job responsibilitiesPlease see the attached job description for more details of the role and its' responsibilities.
1. To share in the organisation and provision of high-quality clinical care for patients within the Trust.
2. To assess and review patients within the outpatients setting, including performing appropriate clinical procedures in this setting.
3. To provide senior support and input into clinical decisions taken by junior medical staff and other audiology staff within the department.
4. To provide accurate and timely communication between the department and its patients, and referrers and other relevant professionals as clinically indicated
5. To develop new procedures and strategies for patients referred to the speciality.
Person Specification Qualifications and Training- oHold a primary medical qualification registered with the GMC
- oEntry onto the Specialist Register for GMC or be within six months of obtaining CCT/CCST in Audiovestibular Medicine or equivalent
- oAppropriate higher medical qualification i.e. MRCP/MRCS or equivalent
- oPhD or equivalent higher degree or evidence of relevant research
- oHigh standard of clinical skill and expertise in the specialty
- oAble to contribute to the full range of skills required for the specialty
- oAudit/Research/Clinical Governance
- oPersonal time management skills
- oFamiliarity within issues of service organisation and development
- oExperience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees
