The RoleProvide specialist psychiatric service to patients with eating disorders. The role involves treating in patients, day care, and outpatients; leading the 11 bed eating disorder service; working within a multidisciplinary team; and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Standard working week: 39 hours.

St Patrick's Hospital, James's Street, Dublin 8, incorporating St Patricks Hospital Lucan and all SPMHS Dean Clinics.
Responsibilities- Treat in patients, day care and outpatients.
- Lead and continue the development of the 11 bed eating disorder service.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Engage in the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates.

Person Specification Qualifications and Experience- Full registration with the Medical Council's General Register of Medical Practitioners.
- Member, or eligible to be a member, of the Medical Council's Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
- Possess MRCPsych, MCPsychI, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least seven years of satisfactory experience in the medical profession, including a minimum of five years in psychiatry.
- Experience in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates.
- Experience in research.
- Experience in working in an MDT environment.
- Experience and appreciation of working within a quality assurance environment.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Self motivation and the ability to motivate others.

Tenure: 1.0 WTE Full Time, Permanent contract, pensionable as below.
Salary: Based on the Consultant Psychiatrist pay scale and commensurate with experience.
Pension: All pensionable staff become members of the pension scheme upon commencement.
Probation: First 6 months probationary period with ongoing performance review. Any extension or suspension of probation will align with EU Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions 2022.
Health: Must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the position.
Character: Must be of good character.
Retirement Age: Normal retirement age for employees is 66 years.
