Job Description
Job Overview

Part time Consultant post based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with clinics at New Victoria Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital.

Responsibilities

Provide care for medical inpatients at QEUH and outpatient Diabetes and Endocrine clinics across the three sites, contribute to on call General Medicine rota, including weekend activity in medical HDU, continuing care for diabetes/endocrine and GIM inpatients in one of the department's 3 wards, and medical receiving.

Shift Pattern

36 hours per week over 7 days with on call commitment.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Applicant must have full GMC Registration, a licence to practice, and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the interview date. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. MRCP UK or equivalent qualification is essential.
