Construction Supervisor - Electrical

Skanska Building Services is at the forefront of facilities management, trusted by clients to deliver excellence every time. One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a location in Whitehall, Westminster , where we provide hard services to our government client.

We are seeking to hire an electrically biased Construction Supervisor to be based onsite full time supervising the implementation of construction aspects of projects, to ensure successful delivery; this key role will see you working closely with onsite construction managers and subcontractors.

As a Construction Supervisor, You Will:

• Oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Construction Managers with matters primarily relating to on site activities.
• Putting subcontractors to work via Safe Starts, daily briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure all relevant permits are in place briefed to the teams and understood by all parties.
• Visit teams daily, do visual inspections daily and formal inspections weekly.
• Ensure there is adequate welfare facilities, and these are kept compliant.
• Assist in understanding the design process and report to project manager/design team any design anomalies.
• Manage, control, and liaise with the work trade contractors, labour, plan, and material requirements for the contract
• Help solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to construction Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
• Ensure good communications within the project team.
• Support with the scoping of work and development of project proposals.

As a Construction Supervisor, the skills and experience You Need:

• Previous experience of commercial offices fit out works / or facilities construction projects.
• Previous experience for a tier 1 main contractor
• Supervisory experience of multi trade contractors.
• Electrical related qualification
• Able to gain the required clearance to DV Level :- This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
• Willing to undertake HV & LV AP training.
• First aid trained
• IOSH
