I am working with a leading commercial law firm in Northern Ireland to recruit a Construction Solicitor for their high-performing and well-established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or junior lawyer to join a practice that is deeply embedded in some of the most high-profile and complex construction projects in the region.

This role offers hands-on experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters. The team advises a diverse range of clients, including employers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, insurers, and funders. Their involvement spans across landmark infrastructure and commercial projects, offering a high level of exposure from the outset.

You'll work in a collaborative environment alongside specialists in areas such as real estate, procurement, planning & environment, and dispute resolution - allowing you to deliver holistic, sector-specific legal advice to clients.

• Assisting on a broad spectrum of construction law matters, both contentious and transactional
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts, appointments, and collateral warranties
• Supporting clients through every stage of the project lifecycle
• Working with senior team members on litigation and dispute resolution related to construction issues
• Liaising with clients directly and managing relationships with key stakeholders
• Working cross-functionally with colleagues in other departments on large-scale, multidisciplinary matters

• Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland or another UK/Ireland jurisdiction
• Ideally some previous experience in construction law, whether through a seat during training or post-qualification
• A genuine interest in construction and infrastructure projects
• Strong drafting and technical skills
• A collaborative, proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for client interaction and business development
