Job Description Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Construction Quality Manager to support the delivery of a programme of primary and secondary school projects across Ireland. Working as part of our site supervision and project delivery team, you will be responsible for monitoring construction quality on site, supporting project teams and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the contract documents, specifications and required standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with site based experience who enjoys working collaboratively with contractors, designers and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor construction activities on site and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out quality inspections and maintain project quality records.
  • Review contractors' inspection and test documentation.
  • Assist in the identification, recording and close out of non conformances and defects.
  • Support project handover activities, snagging and completion inspections.
  • Maintain accurate site records and prepare quality reports.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality related matters.
  • Liaise with contractors, design teams and client representatives.
  • Promote a positive culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Resident Engineer, Employer's Representative or Project Manager as required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Essential Member of the Clerk of Works Institute.
  • Experience working on building construction projects.
  • Good understanding of construction methods, building regulations and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with BCAR requirements and Irish construction standards.
  • Experience on educational, healthcare, public sector or commercial building projects.
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a site supervision, Clerk of Works, Resident Engineer or quality inspection role.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection procedures.
