With a strong pipeline of greenfield and brownfield projects, they are seeking an experienced project management professional to help drive best-in-class delivery of these high-value, high-profile developments.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Data Centres to join the Korea team. The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle for large-scale data centre developments, from design and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and transition to operations. This is a critical role ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for project execution, establishing delivery strategies, milestones, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration between design, construction, operations, and commercial stakeholders.
- Champion best-in-class safety culture and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Set project budgets and monitor expenditure, ensuring robust cost control and transparent reporting.
- Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims in coordination with legal and commercial teams.
- Provide accurate project forecasts and progress updates for senior management and investors.
Design & Technical Oversight
- Review and validate technical designs, ensuring alignment with client specifications, company standards, and international best practice.
- Drive innovation and optimisation in areas such as energy efficiency, cooling solutions, and sustainability.
- Ensure coordination of utility connections, authority approvals, and mission-critical systems integration.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment with delivery objectives.
- Oversee procurement strategies and manage tendering and evaluation of key service providers.
- Act as the key interface with customers, regulators, and internal executives, presenting clear updates and resolving issues proactively.
Delivery & Handover
- Manage project risk registers, mitigation strategies, and opportunity capture.
- Oversee commissioning, handover, and transition to the operations team, ensuring all documentation, certifications, and approvals are in place.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned for future projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management, with further professional qualifications an advantage.
- 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in large-scale data centres or mission-critical facility projects.
- Strong owner-side or developer-side project leadership experience, with proven ability to deliver projects exceeding USD 500m.
- Demonstrated expertise across full project lifecycle - from concept and permitting to construction and operations handover.
- Deep understanding of construction practices, contract administration, and risk management in Korea.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
