Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Construction Operative to join a busy maintenance and refurbishment team working across residential and commercial properties in the East Belfast area. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who can demonstrate a broad range of construction skills and is comfortable undertaking varied works as part of a multi-skilled team.The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship across a range of trades while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out demolition and strip-out works as required.
• Complete wall and floor tiling to a high standard.
• Undertake joinery and general carpentry repairs and installations.
• Perform general building maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Complete snagging, repairs, and reinstatement following maintenance works.
• Work across a variety of properties and projects as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures on site.
• Maintain a professional approach when working in occupied properties.
• Accurately record completed works and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a multi-skilled construction operative.
• Strong practical experience in:
  • Demolition
  • Tiling
  • Joinery
  • General building and maintenance works
• Valid CSR Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work.
• Excellent awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working within social housing, planned maintenance, or response maintenance environments.
• Additional trade skills such as plastering, painting, plumbing, or flooring.
• Relevant trade qualifications.
