About the RoleWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Lecturer to join a thriving Further Education provider in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an established lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into education and inspire the next generation of construction professionals.
You will deliver engaging and practical lessons across a range of construction subjects, helping students develop the technical skills, industry knowledge, and confidence needed for successful careers within the sector.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching across construction programmes
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials
- Support and monitor learner progress to maximise achievement
- Create an engaging and safe learning environment
- Maintain workshop and classroom health & safety standards
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental growth
- Provide pastoral and academic support to learners where required
- Relevant Construction qualification
- Industry experience within construction trades
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for developing learners and supporting progression into industry
- Previous FE teaching or training experience
- Assessor/IQA qualifications
- Experience working with apprenticeships or vocational learners
- Salary of £45,000 per annum
- Permanent full-time position
- September start
