Job Title: Configuration Support Engineer

Location: Desford, Leicestershire

Pay Rate: £24.42 per hour (inside IR35)

Contract Duration: 24 months

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Configuration Support Engineer to join a leading technical team in Desford, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and configuration of current and new product options within the construction equipment sector. You will play a vital role in maintaining master engineering models and machine bills of materials while ensuring effective implementation of design changes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Configuration Support Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing engineering change data to ensure compliance with established change management policies.
  • Coordinating product changes across product development, sales and marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
  • Preparing documentation to support new product configurations and ongoing development activities.
  • Supporting product groups through corporate engineering systems and process improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For?

  • Change Control: Strong understanding of change identification, evaluation, documentation, and implementation processes.
  • Engineering Systems Knowledge: Experience with Teamcenter for data management and Creo for 3D CAD modelling.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to completing tasks with precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse problems and propose effective alternative solutions.
  • Prioritisation Skills: Confident managing multiple concurrent tasks and making informed prioritisation decisions.
  • Teamwork and Communication: A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to feedback and learning.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous engineering experience within a mobile construction equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level product development systems and life cycle management processes.

Interview Process

  • Telephone interviews: Week commencing 23rd June
  • Face-to-face interviews (on-site): Week commencing 30th June
