£30,000 - £35,000 per annum Depending on experience + 10% discretionary bonus.
The role
The Compliance Officer will be part of a growing team within the HSEQ & Compliance department, who are focussed on ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace, while also maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to relevant regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring the organisation's compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws.
- Keeping accurate records of compliance activities, policies, and procedures.
- Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organisation.
- Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified.
- Performing administrative tasks such as file creation and maintaining files of ongoing projects.
- Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities.
- Working with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures to enhance compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and laws, including those related to ISO standards, 9001, 14001, 45001 & 27001.
- Auditor Trained.
- Professional memberships/ Graduate CQI / IRCA.
- Experience in implementing management systems Internationally.
- Excellent understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
- Project management skills and the ability to be methodical and diligent.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to comprehend information thoroughly and understand its significance.
- High ethical standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and conflict management skills.
