What you'll do
  • As Compliance Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting the firm's commitment to regulatory excellence within the unique context of sport and media law. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with partners to facilitate smooth client onboarding experiences, rigorous anti-money laundering checks, comprehensive sanctions monitoring, and robust file management.
  • You will also be instrumental in delivering training that empowers colleagues to uphold best-in-class compliance standards. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also a collaborative spirit-your ability to work harmoniously with others will help foster an environment where compliance is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of service delivery.
  • By proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and maintaining an unwavering attention to detail, you will ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of industry standards while supporting some of the most exciting clients in sport and media.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with client engagement processes by preparing letters of engagement and managing client onboarding documentation to ensure seamless integration of new clients into the firm's systems.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of anti-money laundering and sanctions procedures by producing accurate documentation and monitoring compliance requirements.
  • Deliver training sessions for fee earners on compliance protocols as well as anti-money laundering and sanctions processes to promote awareness and adherence throughout the firm.
  • Oversee file opening and closing procedures to maintain meticulous records in line with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues to address compliance-related operational tasks, providing guidance and support as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance frameworks by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices across all relevant processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting sport and media law compliance, ensuring that all procedures remain current and effective.
  • Utilise strong IT skills to manage documentation efficiently using Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and other relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds, upholding the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all activities.
