Job Description

Are you an experienced compliance, assurance, risk, or mortgage professional looking for your next challenge?

We are recruiting for a Compliance Assurance Officer to join a growing and supportive Risk & Compliance function within a well-established financial services organisation on an initial 9 month contract.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring good customer outcomes, overseeing outsourced service delivery, and supporting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assurance and monitoring reviews to assess customer outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyse performance data, quality results, and service metrics to identify trends and areas of concern.
  • Investigate root causes of issues and support the implementation of effective remedial actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of assurance activity and monitor progress against agreed actions.
  • Build strong working relationships with operational stakeholders and service providers.
  • Support the production of management information, governance reporting, and Consumer Duty oversight.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of compliance and assurance frameworks.
About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within Compliance, Risk, Assurance, Quality Assurance, Audit, or a related oversight function.
  • Exposure to the mortgage, lending, or wider financial services sector.
  • A good understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and customer outcome-focused regulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to interpret data and identify emerging risks and trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail.
