A welcoming specialist school in Hermitage is looking for a Complex Needs Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning needs, and associated medical or physical requirements. This role is ideal for someone compassionate, resilient, and motivated to make a meaningful difference every day.
As a Complex Needs Assistant, you'll help pupils access education in a way that suits them - supporting communication, personal care, learning activities, and emotional wellbeing within a calm, structured environment.
The Complex Needs Assistant role will include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Assisting with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs
- Helping pupils engage with learning through play and interaction
- Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals
Role details:
- Location: Hermitage
- Pay: £89-£100 per day
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
- Start: ASAP
- Contract: Long-term, full-time
