Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Develop, deploy, and support consulting talent across Methods' IT Enterprise Services delivery
- Acquire talent from the market and enable consultant career progression
- Develop capability contributing to the design and business development of a specific practice such as Cyber, Digital, Cloud, or Change
- Ensure project teams have the best talent at the right time, role, and cost while maintaining high utilisation
- Work with Project Delivery, Sales, and Operations on recruitment, resource planning, skills development, management, and capability growth
- Deliver team plans covering headcount, budget, and performance objectives
- Manage consultant professional development and progression
- Serve as an escalation point for consultant assignment, engagement, professional, and personal matters
- Support the shape, design, development, and promotion of relevant service offerings
- Build and execute recruitment strategies and plans, including leading interviews and consultant assessments
- Build and maintain a pipeline of consultant candidates and proactively recruit talent
- Lead the annual team development plan
- Manage onboarding, probation, bench, and overall team utilisation
- Provide accurate and timely reporting and communication
- Collaborate on budgeting and workforce planning
- Coach consultants through feedback, appraisals, and career development plans
- Identify and address training needs
- Maintain the team skills matrix
- Support business development opportunities with sales and bid teams
- Align consultants with assignments and projects based on skills, experience, and requirements
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture and encourage knowledge sharing
- Maintain regular consultant engagement and support satisfaction
- Promote wellbeing and support absence management
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and guidelines
- Monitor consultant performance and promote diversity and inclusion
- Minimum of five years' experience in a leadership, team management, or capability management role, preferably within consulting or the public sector
- Strong experience in resource and team management, workforce planning, and bench utilisation management
- Demonstrated success in recruitment strategy development and execution, including interviewing and hiring high-performing consultants
- Track record of managing team budgets, headcount planning, and performance targets
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships across the organisation
- Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop consultants at different career stages
- Ability to deliver accurate, timely reporting across multiple stakeholders
- Must have or be willing to go through Security Clearance
- Candidates must complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding
Demonstrates expertise in resource and team management, recruitment strategy development, and consultant professional development. Proven ability to manage budgets, headcount planning, and performance targets while fostering a collaborative team culture.
