Community Payback Supervisor - Minimum Hours Contract (Nottingham)

Job Title

Community Payback Supervisor - Unpaid Work Team (minimum hours contract), Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 7 hours per day of community payback unpaid work placements for offenders.
• Drive service vehicles to transport offenders and equipment.
• Ensure all work site supervision tasks are carried out to the highest standard.
• Motivate and support offenders in completing manual tasks such as building benches, clearing overgrowth, cleaning streets, planting trees, graffiti removal and litter picking.
• Maintain client safety and maintain engagement with offenders throughout the placement period.
• Adjust to a flexible working pattern, including frequent weekends and occasional evenings; weekend hours are paid at a 50% higher rate.

Key Requirements

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (automatic licence not accepted).
• Right to work in the UK and fulfil Civil Service Immigration requirements.
• Strong communication, empathy and the ability to lead and motivate small groups.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
• Basic planning and organisational skills.

Remuneration and Working Conditions

• Starting salary £28,064 pro rate (pay band progression available).
• Minimum hours contract; 7 hours supervising per day with potential weekend and evening working.
• Weekend work paid 50% higher rate.
• Varied, active role across community projects such as restoring facilities, tree planting and infrastructure maintenance.
