Job Description

Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible.

We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever-expanding team. We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various service user types including children and the elderly.

The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, with many opportunities to develop within your career at Abbots including paid diplomas and job progression.

We are currently recruiting for community care assistants to join our teams providing care in people's own homes in Welwyn and surrounding areas.

Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid comprehensive training is provided by our in-house training department.

You will need to have a full driving licence with access to your own car in order for us to process your application.

Our pay rates are £13.50 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 per hour on weekends, with working hours between 7 am and 10 pm. Shift patterns are 7 am-2 pm and 4 pm-10 pm, including alternate weekends.

As well as zero-hour contracts we also offer part-time and full-time contracts of up to 40 hrs per week, with pay rates of £13.35 per hour on weekdays and £15.00 per hour on weekends.

Requirements

Full driving licence, own vehicle, right to work in the UK. Please note that the role is community based in and around Watford.
