The communication and dissemination unit in Zabala is composed by a growing team of 13 people spread in five offices. Together we are currently managing the implementation of the communication efforts of projects funded by the European Union about various topics in the fields of Energy, Mobility, Environment, Security, Digitalisation or Health.

You will be working in the office of Brussels and join forces with a team of five employees.

In your day-to-day work you will be

• Contributing to the communication activities of EU- funded projects, i.e., drafting articles and content for newsletters and websites, social media posting, organising events and webinars, assisting in planning communication strategies, etc.
• Carrying out deliverables and achieving expected results of EU-funded projects. Most of our projects are related to sustainability, energy, digitalisation, health, and security sectors.
• Supporting the writing process of Research and Innovation proposals for Horizon Europe, LIFE, or other European programmes, especially the communication sections.
• Representing Zabala Innovation externally and support the business development in your field of expertise.
• Advising clients and colleagues on your area of expertise.
• Participating to EU events in the European quarter and travel to attend events/meetings related to EU projects.
• Working in a multidisciplinary team, with a young, innovative, enriching and challenging environment.

What do we consider necessary?

• Experience of approx. 2-3 years of previous experience in the communication and dissemination activities, especially when related to direct participation as partner or WP leader of C&D work packages in European projects.
• Experience in preparation and writing of the communication sections of HEU proposals and genuine interest and/or background in energy, digital or environmental topics.
• Knowledge of European funding programmes.
• Proven client-oriented attitude.
• Fluency in English.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Background in communication and also in technical fields and innovation aspects is an asset.
• Any knowledge of French, Spanish, Dutch, or other languages.
