Committee Services Officer, Hart District Council

Salary: £33,698.93 - £36,057.05 (pro rata) per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2028
Contracted hours: 20-22 hours per week (part time)

We're looking for a Committee Services Officer to provide wide-ranging, proactive support to Councillors across the range of committees. You'll work closely with Hart's political leaders and senior officers and build strong relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside Hart.

To be successful in this role, you'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills. It will be important you can manage complex and competing workloads and be able to demonstrate existing knowledge of local government decision-making processes and modern committee management practices.

You'll have a vital role in the Committee Service team, being the first port of call for councillors across a range of different committees, from Audit to Planning, from Full Council to Staffing. The role requires a willingness to work outside of regular office hours on a regular basis to run evening meetings.
