We are working with a London Local Authority who are looking to appoint an interim Senior Commissioning Officer to support on their Adults Mental Health portfolio.

Key responsibilities and skills required of the Senior Commissioning Officer:

• Adults Social Care Commissioning experience is an essential requirement of this role
• Be responsible in driving forward elements of the Mental Health strategy
• Ensure Mental Health commissioning is embedded into the day opportunities and supported accommodation contracts
• Work effectively and build relationships with key partners and organisations across the system - NHS, Voluntary
• Understand, interpret and commission services in line with the new Mental Health Act 2025
• Experience of governance processes including drafting Cabinet decision reports
• Support and lead on a variety of commissioning exercises, such as tender processes, quality assurance, strategy development and market engagement/management
• Highly skilled communicator and team player
