Commissioning Engineer EC&I - BEP - Sellafield Site

Contract (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (EC&I) to support the Box Encapsulation Plant (BEP) project at the Sellafield Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a range of commissioning activities across the Instrumentation and Control (EC&I) discipline, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of nuclear commissioning objectives.

• Witness and verify vendor testing at works test stage
• Prepare plant commissioning test specifications
• Conduct early inspections of site installations to facilitate timely system handovers
• Perform testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase
• Identify faults and propose effective technical solutions
• Organise and manage Commissioning Technicians and support resources
• Initiate and implement Findings of Benefit (FOBs)
• Validate Working Level Instructions (WLIs)
• Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs) as required

• Proven experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning
• Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering-related discipline
• Solid understanding of nuclear commissioning processes
• Familiarity with project management principles (preferably APM membership)
• Competent in producing technical calculations using Excel
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• Valid CSCS/ECS Supervisory Card appropriate to trade

Inside IR35 - This role falls within the scope of IR35 and will be subject to PAYE or umbrella company engagement.
