Location: The Weald of Kent Golf Course & Hotel, Near Headcorn (6 miles south of Maidstone)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £22,568.00- £25,397.00 per annum + gratuities

With a thriving restaurant, regular private events, and a variety of functions throughout the year, we are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our professional kitchen team.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will support the delivery of a diverse menu offering, including breakfast, lunch, evening meals, and function catering. Working under the guidance of senior chefs as part of a collaborative team, you will help maintain the high standards our guests expect while developing your culinary skills within a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and assist in cooking a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Assist with the preparation and service of meals for our restaurant, hotel guests, and private events
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are consistently met
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not essential
- Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Access to own transport is essential due to the rural location
- Full-time position with 8-hour straight shifts
- Example shifts include: 6:30am-2:30pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, 1:00pm-9:00pm
