- Provide legal advice, guidance and innovative solutions on commercial property and residential investment matters.
- Support the team in achieving fee targets by assisting a broad range of clients across the business.
- Work closely with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to structure property transactions effectively.
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documentation.
- Identify legal risks and obstacles affecting transactions and guide clients on mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on relevant real estate legislation, regulations, and market standards in the UK.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations including AML and KYC requirements.
- Supervise junior team members as required.
- Maintain excellent file and case management standards.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, including effective time recording, billing and cashflow control.
- Build and nurture client/referrer relationships and seek opportunities for future work.
- Contribute positively to departmental and firmwide initiatives including business development.
- Provide cover and support during colleague absences.
- Work confidently and independently without routine administrative support.
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (via LPC and training contract; or SQE route; or CILEX to Fellow level with admission by SRA).
- Professional and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Positive, client-focused attitude with strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex matters.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates alignment with core values such as teamwork, integrity and proactive service.
- Experience using Practice Evolve or other legal practice management systems.
- Familiarity with Practical Law and LexisNexis research tools.
