About Napthens LLPNapthens LLP offers an opportunity to join a Legal 500 Tier 1 rated commercial litigation team led by David Bailey. The team comprises four lawyers and one legal assistant.
David has over 20 years of commercial litigation experience, representing commercial landlords, property portfolio managers, and managing agents on a broad range of property disputes.
He is recognized by The Legal 500 as 'tenacious and effective', with client testimonials praising his ability to retain facts and figures and his instinctive grasp of situations, quickly identifying priorities and potential pitfalls.
Type of WorkThe team specializes in advising on:
- Commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears, forfeiture, eviction, 1954 Act renewals, break notices, and disrepair/dilapidations.
- Issues surrounding assignments, subletting, alterations, change of use, and possession.
- Day-to-day property and land disputes, including disputes over land agreements, rights of way, restrictive covenants, and trespass.
You will join a team known for its deep knowledge, excellent technical and commercial skills, and reputation as one of the top litigation teams in the Northwest.

Location and Hybrid WorkingThis is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home, not a remote-only position. We value the importance of in-person collaboration. Our offices are located in Preston (Winckley Square) and Liverpool (Plaza, Old Hall Street), both within walking distance of train and bus stations.
