Job Description
About Outseer At Outseer, we're helping our customers make the world a safer place. Our All-Cause Fraud prevention platform combines AI, behavioral biometrics and consortium intelligence to stop fraud, not customers across the globe. We're a team that makes things happen, stays humble, adapts fast, and keeps it real, growing our business and each other every day.
What you'll achieve: The Commercial Product Management Director owns the commercial and go-to-market strategy for Outseer's fraud portfolio, ensuring innovative capabilities move successfully from concept to commercial reality. This role provides portfolio-wide strategic and commercial leadership across proposition development, use case definition, proof-of-value validation, competitive positioning, field enablement, packaging and pricing, and General Availability (GA) readiness.
Operating horizontally across the product portfolio, the Commercial Product Management Director establishes the commercial perspective that informs portfolio priorities and investment decisions.
Working in partnership with Product Managers who own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of individual product lines, this role brings a portfolio-wide customer, fraud-domain, and commercial lens to determine where Outseer can create the greatest customer and business value. The role does not own an individual product roadmap; rather, it influences portfolio prioritization and owns the commercial and go-to-market strategy that determines how capabilities are positioned, validated, and successfully brought to market.
The Commercial Product Management Director owns the strategic thread connecting product innovation to commercial success, ensuring capabilities entering the portfolio address clearly defined customer problems, have compelling and differentiated value propositions, are supported by validated use cases and evidence-based claims, and have the commercial assets required to drive adoption and growth.
As a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert, this role combines deep banking fraud expertise with strong commercial product management and go-to-market capabilities. The Commercial Product Management Director translates complex fraud challenges and technical capabilities into customer value, propositions, use cases, and market-facing narratives that resonate with fraud leaders, executive buyers, Sales, and Solution Consulting. The role leads through expertise, credibility, and influence rather than direct people management.

Essential Duties Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Prioritization
- Own the portfolio-wide commercial and go-to-market strategy for Outseer's fraud solutions, ensuring product innovation is connected to customer needs, market opportunity, competitive differentiation, and commercial value.
- Establish the commercial perspective on portfolio priorities and influence what capabilities should be developed next, bringing a cross-portfolio view that complements the individual roadmaps owned by Product Managers.
- Pressure-test product investment and prioritization decisions against customer demand, fraud trends, market opportunity, competitive positioning, revenue potential, and ability to demonstrate measurable customer value.
- Partner with Product Leadership and Product Managers to translate portfolio strategy into compelling commercial propositions and executable go-to-market plans.
- Identify opportunities to combine capabilities across product lines into differentiated customer propositions and use cases.
- Own the development of customer and commercial value propositions for new and evolving capabilities across the fraud portfolio.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear customer problems, differentiated solutions, measurable outcomes, and compelling reasons to invest.
- Ensure propositions reflect real-world fraud operations, banking priorities, buyer needs, and market dynamics rather than feature-based product messaging.
- Establish clear positioning for what a capability does, which customer problems it addresses, why it matters, how it creates value, and why customers should choose Outseer.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Fraud Performance, Sales, and Solution Consulting to ensure propositions are technically credible, commercially compelling, and operationally relevant.
- Define and validate the priority customer use cases that underpin each proposition.
- Ensure use cases reflect real fraud typologies, modus operandi patterns, customer workflows, operational pain points, and measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Product Managers and Data Science to balance customer and commercial value with technical feasibility and product capabilities.
- Validate use cases with customers, field teams, and subject matter experts before broad market introduction.
- Continuously refine use cases based on customer feedback, fraud trends, product performance, and market learning.
- Provide commercial leadership for Proof of Concept (PoC), Proof of Value (PoV), pilot, and early-adopter programs designed to validate new propositions and capabilities.
- Define the customer outcomes, success measures, and evidence required to validate commercial claims before broader market release.
- Translate pilot and PoV results into credible, evidence-based proof points that demonstrate measurable customer value.
- Ensure customer-facing claims are compelling, accurate, defensible, and supported by appropriate performance evidence.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Fraud Performance, Sales, and Solution Consulting to resolve gaps between expected and demonstrated outcomes before capabilities progress through commercialization stage gates.
- Own the product proposition and commercial content required to successfully bring new capabilities to market.
- Develop the commercial foundation for sales claim decks, demo narratives, playbooks, objection handling, customer use cases, competitive positioning, and other field enablement assets.
- Partner directly with Sales and Solution Consulting to ensure field teams understand the customer problem, proposition, use cases, differentiation, proof points, and commercial value.
- Participate in enablement sessions, strategic customer engagements, and early sales opportunities to build field confidence and capture market feedback.
- Continuously improve proposition and enablement materials based on field experience, customer objections, win/loss insights, and competitive intelligence.
- Own commercial readiness for GA across the portfolio and ensure new capabilities meet established commercial criteria before progressing to Scale.
- Establish clear GA readiness requirements covering proposition, validated use cases, evidence-based claims, competitive positioning, packaging and pricing, enablement assets, and field readiness.
- Ensure required evidence, approvals, and commercial assets are complete before recommending GA sign-off.
- Contribute to Investment Go/No-Go and GA Go/No-Go decisions by providing an objective assessment of customer value, market opportunity, commercial readiness, and execution risk.
- Monitor early market performance following GA and identify proposition, enablement, or positioning adjustments required to improve adoption.
- Serve as the commercial product partner across Product, Sales, Solution Consulting, Data Science, Fraud Performance, Marketing, and other stakeholders involved in bringing capabilities to market.
- Build alignment between the teams responsible for developing capabilities and those responsible for positioning, selling, demonstrating, and supporting them.
- Provide a portfolio-wide commercial perspective to help resolve competing priorities and identify opportunities that span individual product lines.
- Lead through influence and subject matter expertise, creating clarity and accountability without direct reporting authority.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Product and commercial leadership on customer needs, fraud trends, market opportunity, and portfolio positioning.
- Serve as a credible fraud and commercial product expert in strategic customer and executive discussions.
- Engage effectively with fraud operations leaders, product executives, and C-suite stakeholders at banks, issuers, processors, and other financial institutions.
- Translate complex technical, data science, and fraud concepts into clear customer and commercial value.
- Contribute to executive Investment Go/No-Go, GA Go/No-Go, portfolio, and strategic planning discussions with evidence-based recommendations.
- Balance commercial ambition with credible claims, customer evidence, delivery realities, packaging, and pricing considerations.
- Own competitive positioning across the fraud portfolio and ensure propositions clearly articulate Outseer's differentiation.
- Maintain an informed view of competitors, emerging fraud technologies, customer buying priorities, and relevant market trends.
