We have an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering our SSE North contract. This is a chance to work closely with our client, ensuring commercial success, managing risks, and driving profitability. The Role:As Commercial Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring contracts run efficiently, risks are managed, and profitability is maximised.
- Leading and developing a team of quantity surveyors and commercial administrators
- Providing commercial leadership across contracts, ensuring full compliance with rights and obligations
- Shaping and implementing commercial strategies to drive business success
- Managing budgets, cost controls, and financial performance
- Overseeing contract negotiations and ensuring favourable terms
- Leading cost value reconciliation and cash flow management
- Resolving complex contractual matters and disputes
- Ensuring subcontractor agreements are commercially sound
- You are an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in commercial management within the utilities sector
- You have significant management experience and a proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams
- You are a confident communicator with the ability to present complex commercial data to stakeholders at all levels
- You possess a deep understanding of NEC3 contracts, particularly Options A & C, and strong financial and commercial acumen with excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
- You thrive in a fast paced environment, showing resourcefulness, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- You are a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving business success
