When things get contentious, we bring calm heads and sharp thinking to the table. You'll be joining a busy and fast-growing team ranked Tier One in The Legal 500, regularly acting on high-value and complex disputes for commercial clients across the UK.
You'll have the opportunity to handle a varied caseload with supervision and support, including matters involving commercial contract disputes, insolvency litigation, shareholder disputes, and property litigation.
Day to day, you will draft legal documents, correspondence, reports and attending client meetings. The role also involves representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings, while providing clear, commercially focused advice across a wide range of issues. In addition, you will support senior lawyers and play an active role in contributing to the team's knowledge and ongoing development. You'll also work closely with our Corporate and Commercial team on matters where litigation expertise adds real value.
We're open to applicants from a range of backgrounds, and while prior experience in commercial or insolvency litigation is desirable, it isn't essential. To meet client needs, you'll spend some time working from our dedicated workspace within Flok-a vibrant co-working hub in Teesside that promotes collaboration and innovation. However, the role will primarily be based at our modern head office on the outskirts of Durham.

We're looking for applicants with a strong academic foundation and a real appetite for learning. You'll already have a legal qualification and be a NQ to 5 years PQE. Someone who combines legal talent with curiosity, confidence, and a real drive to get results for clients.
