Job Description
Commercial Lead - Power & Renewables (UK & Ireland)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to drive the commercial performance of our growing Power & Renewables Business Unit across the UK and Ireland. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing commercial strategy, contract management, risk mitigation, project performance, and supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all commercial activities across the Power & Renewables Business Unit.
  • Drive revenue, margin, cashflow, and overall project profitability.
  • Lead commercial input during tendering, bid strategy, contract negotiations, and project selection.
  • Manage commercial and contractual risk, ensuring robust governance and compliance across projects.
  • Oversee project commercial performance from tender stage through to final account.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and QS teams to optimise project delivery.
  • Support and develop key client relationships, framework agreements, and business growth initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team while promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Manage subcontractor and supply chain commercial arrangements and drive continuous process improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead, or Quantity Surveying leadership role.
  • Strong background in power, energy, renewables, infrastructure, or major engineering projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of contracts, commercial strategy, cost management, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially driven with a proactive and analytical approach.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland and the UK.
