DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Commercial Events Manager to join our Commercial team on a full time permanent contract. The Commercial Events team manages all aspects of commercial venue hires across Southbank Centre as well as cultivation/fundraising & other internal events. We're best known to be the home of the BAFTAs, BFI Film Festival and hold graduations for most of London's top Universities.

Key Responsibilities- Be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Commercial & Development events, both private hires and internal events, including venue booking and set-up, room dressing and catering, client liaison and follow-up, to ensure the successful delivery of all events.
- Provide the necessary information to interested clients, conduct site visits and actively sell Southbank Centre spaces.
- Identify and offer additional services provided by the Southbank Centre to clients to enhance their events.
- Help to develop the commercial use of the Southbank Centre site and its buildings as a venue for conferences and general hire, including commercial filming & photography and brand activations.
- Liaise with Southbank Centre colleagues in all relevant departments and with external contractors and other external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of all events.
- Experience of event management in a similar sector, field or venue;
- Experience of planning and executing events;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Able to communicate and work well with a wide range of people with tact and diplomacy and is able to communicate positively with Southbank Centre's key stakeholders;
- Able to efficiently organise and prioritise workload;
- A minimum 5% pension contribution (going up to 9% depending on employee contribution), from day 1 of employment
