The Role - Commercial Director
  • Executive accountability for all commercial strategy, governance, and financial performance across modular data centre projects
  • Lead pre construction bidding, tenders, and client proposals to ensure profitability and competitiveness
  • Own contract negotiation, commercial governance, and risk management with contractors, suppliers, and strategic partners
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to enhance margin, reduce programme risk, and improve cost certainty
  • Implement robust project commercial controls: cost tracking, reporting, forecasting, change control, and claims management
  • Act as senior commercial representative for key client relationships and stakeholder engagements
  • Contribute to strategic business growth, European data centre expansion, and scaling of modular manufacturing
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the commercial team to deliver professional excellence and operational effectiveness
Essential Criteria - Commercial Director
  • You will be leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators etc - Must come from this type of strategic leadership commercial role
  • Extensive senior commercial leadership experience in modular manufacturing, data centre, mission critical, or project led sectors
  • Proven ability to lead multi disciplinary commercial and operational teams
  • Strong financial acumen and commercial negotiation experience
  • Experienced in scaling commercial functions while protecting quality, programme, and margin
  • Credible and authoritative with clients, boards, and internal stakeholders
