About the RoleWe are seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to join the busy Contracts team within the University's Research and Enterprise Services Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University's research, impact, and knowledge exchange ambitions through a diverse range of industry-sponsored research activities. You will support the Innovation and Business Partnership team, as well as research development partners and researchers across the University, in managing contractual relationships, liaising with funders and project partners, and attending project meetings. Providing clear and pragmatic contractual advice to stakeholders by assessing and managing risks will be key.
About YouYou should have a proven track record in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating industry-sponsored research or commercial contracts, including multi-party consortium agreements. Extensive knowledge of intellectual property rights, contract law, export control, and data protection regulations is essential. You should be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of working independently and as part of a team. Excellent contract management skills and the ability to prioritize work across multiple clients are important. A background in higher education, industry, research organizations, or legal professions, with relevant qualifications or experience, is required.
