Some hybrid working available

Someone who loves working with data-but not just for reporting. Someone who enjoys asking "why?", spotting opportunities, and helping others make better decisions without squashing creativity.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial insight, creativity, and collaboration-supporting Brand & Category teams to shape ideas, improve performance, and ultimately deliver what customers really want.

This isn't a traditional finance role. It's about bringing numbers to life in a way that's gentle, useful, accessible, and impactful.

Working closely with Category Leads and creative teams, using data and insight to:

  • Identify opportunities for profitable sales growth
  • Support decision-making with clear, actionable insight
  • Build and present business cases and recommendations
  • Understand performance across categories-what's working and why
  • Help shape thinking through evidence, not opinion

You'll be encouraged to take ownership, explore ideas, and bring forward insight that others may not have spotted.

  • Naturally curious-you enjoy digging into data and understanding what's really going on
  • Comfortable working with numbers, but not defined by traditional finance pathways
  • A clear communicator-you can explain things simply and effectively
  • Confident, but collaborative-you can influence without pushing
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and follows things through
  • Interested in how different parts of a business connect and impact each other
  • Likely early to mid-career (c. 3-7 years' experience) in a commercial, analytical, or finance-related role

What makes this role different:

  • Working in a business that values kindness, fairness, and ethical thinking
  • The focus is on authentic brand and community engagement, not traditional marketing
  • Partnering with creative and category teams, not just finance
  • Opportunities to shape decisions, not just report on them

Less focused on traditional qualifications and more interested in:

  • Someone's ability to interpret data and generate insight
  • Examples of where someone has influenced decisions or added value
  • Communication style and curiosity
  • How someone works with people who think differently to them

We're particularly interested in individuals who are curious about how emerging tools-especially AI-can enhance the way we work with data.

You don't need to be a technical expert, but you should have a genuine interest in:

  • Exploring how AI can help uncover deeper insights from data
  • Asking better questions of both internal data and external sources
  • Finding smarter, more efficient ways to support decision-making
  • Bringing new ideas on how tools and technology can add value to the business

This is a space we're continuing to evolve, so there's real opportunity to shape how data and insight are used going forward.
