Commercial & Operations Director - Construction & Industrial Staffing

Our client is one of Irelands leading construction and industrial recruitment specialists. With annual turnover exceeding €22 million and approximately 400+ temporary workers deployed daily, we are seeking an experienced Commercial & Operations Director to lead the next phase of our growth across Ireland and Europe.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this key leadership appointment will take responsibility for recruitment delivery, sales performance, client retention, operational excellence, workforce quality, process compliance and overall business performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage recruitment, resourcing and sales teams.

  • Drive a high-performance culture with clear accountability and measurable KPIs.

  • Improve recruiter productivity, fill rates and speed-to-fill performance.

  • Strengthen client relationships and improve retention across key accounts.

  • Develop strategic growth opportunities within construction, industrial, warehousing and European staffing markets.

  • Implement operational improvements, automation and AI-driven efficiencies.

  • Oversee sales pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, systems and quality standards.

  • Manage team development, performance reviews and succession planning.

Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience within recruitment, staffing, workforce solutions or outsourced services.

  • Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for P&L performance.

  • Experience managing both sales and recruitment delivery functions.

  • Track record of driving growth, operational improvement and profitability.

  • Strong client-facing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience introducing KPIs, accountability frameworks and performance management processes.

  • Construction, engineering, industrial or temporary staffing experience highly desirable.
