COMBUSTION STRESS ENGINEER

ITP Aero UK are recruiting for a Combustion Stress Engineer to join our team in Hucknall - UK on a full-time permanent basis.

The individual will be a key member of the Combustion R&T team, working with colleagues in the UK and Spain to develop next generation Combustor Designs and Technology.

This role is of interest to you if

  • You like the challenge of developing and leading ITP Aero's rapidly expanding Combustor Design and Technology capability.
  • You are motivated by the objective of designing and manufacturing aerospace combustion systems for use with conventional fuels, SAF and Hydrogen futures.
  • You enjoy the challenge of new designs and technology and finding solutions to engineering problems validated by robust models and analysis.

Who we are looking for :

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience working in Stress/Structural Analysis in aerospace/gas turbine engine industry or relevant equivalent.
  • The ability to thrive in an ambiguous R&T environment, capable of adapting quickly to change.
  • A strong communicator, who works well in multi-functional teams (Manufacturing, Design, Aerothermal, etc), stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Proven experience in combustion system design, development, and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to cope with ambiguous and changing R&T requirements to find technical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring new technologies and solutions to drive aerospace advancements.
  • Experience of using ANSYS and Abaqus.

Who will I work with?

You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.

You will work closely with both the Combustion Design & Technology Manager and the Specialist, as well as the Senior Stress Engineers

What are the working hours?

Days - 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday.

Staff grade 7 - 10
