Grade: EAI 18-21 (£67,433 - £71,013 per annum), with the potential to earn up to £74,828 through the Structured Professional Assessment (SPA) process.

About the jobThe purpose of the Collaboration Partner role is to secure improved outcomes for all learners by providing robust, constructive challenge and effective support of high quality, that promotes and facilitates collaboration between schools to raise standards.
- To support and challenge school Collaboratives in determining their annual school improvement focus based on a range of evidence;
- To ensure that school collaboratives have considered and evaluated the three national priorities for literacy, numeracy and reducing the impact of poverty on educational attainment when determining their annual school improvement focus;
- To ensure that the local authority is fully informed about the school improvement foci being undertaken by Collaboratives annually and why these have been chosen;
- To provide an objective report of the termly and annual progress of school Collaboratives, based on first hand evidence and discussions with a range of stakeholders associated with the collaborative;
- To introduce, develop and embed a coaching strategy that secures a self improving approach which successfully enables Collaboratives to develop and mature over time.
As collaborative arrangements for school improvement in Cardiff develop, this role of will evolve to reflect the maturity of school to school working and progress made towards deep and meaningful collaboration. The Collaboration Partner's primary roles will be to support collaborative arrangements and to ensure that the local authority has a good understanding of the support needs of schools. Collaboration Partners will:
- Support and facilitate CLIPs by attending their meetings and undertaking activities to support their development priorities.
- Provide a cowritten termly report on individual schools and their progress in achieving their school development plan priorities alongside qualitative assessments (agreed with the headteacher) aligned with the Estyn framework to assist the local authority in understanding schools' support needs.
We are seeking to recruit a highly successful and experienced senior school leader and school improvement professional to join our enthusiastic and committed Cardiff School Improvement Team of Collaboration Partners. We are seeking Collaboration Partners who can support Primary Schools. The post will be a full time temporary 1 year contract.
This is an excellent development opportunity; as a Collaboration Partner you will play a crucial role in contributing to the achievement of national and council priorities in education.
Appointment to this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Child Workforce Barred List check.
