Co-Founder (Commercial / GTM) - ZAXIA

ZAXIA is building a real-time operational intelligence layer for hotels.

Today, hotel operations are fragmented, reactive, and largely invisible in real time.

Decisions happen late - often after the guest experience has already been impacted.

ZAXIA changes that.

We connect guest interactions (through an in-room concierge interface) with hotel operations, creating a system that makes everything happening inside a hotel visible, understandable, and actionable in real time.

The goal is simple:

move hotels from reactive operations to real-time control

This is not just a product - it's the foundation for a new category of operational systems, starting with hospitality.

ZAXIA has been built end-to-end by a technical founder and is now approaching pilot readiness.

The next phase is focused on:

• validating product-market fit with real hotels
• securing pilot partners
• shaping the commercial narrative
• raising an initial pre-seed / seed round

This is a zero-to-one stage, where both traction and investment are critical.

I'm looking for a co-founder to build ZAXIA together and take ownership of the commercial side of the company.

This is not a traditional role - you will be shaping the company from the ground up.

Key focus areas:

• Defining and driving go-to-market strategy
• Securing pilot hotels and early design partners
• Building industry partnerships (hotel groups, IPTV providers, tech vendors)
• Leading or supporting fundraising efforts
• Shaping the positioning and narrative of ZAXIA as a new category
• Working closely on product direction based on real-world feedback

You might be a strong fit if you:

• Have experience in hospitality, SaaS, or B2B platforms
• Understand how hotels actually operate (or have sold into them)
• Have strong commercial instincts and can operate in ambiguity
• Are comfortable at pre-product-market-fit stage
• Are motivated to build a company, not just join one

Strong signals:

• Experience with hotel groups, PMS, or hospitality tech
• Experience in early-stage startups or 0 1 environments
• Exposure to fundraising or investor conversations
• Access to relevant industry networks

• High ownership and long-term thinking
• Comfort with uncertainty and early-stage dynamics
• Ability to move between strategy and execution
• Willingness to operate before structure exists

This role is best suited for someone who understands that early progress depends on both creating traction and unlocking capital.

I'm a Lisbon-based technical founder with 20+ years building integration-heavy systems in media and broadcast for organizations including BMW, Sony, Disney, Discovery, BBC, and FOX.

Those environments require building reliable, real-time systems across multiple integrations - which directly informs how ZAXIA has been architected.

ZAXIA has been built end-to-end, including:

• Guest-facing interface (TV-based concierge)
• Voice interaction
• Service and operations workflows
• Staff dashboard
• Unified activity layer (real-time event system)
• Backend architecture ready for scaling
