Cloud & Infrastructure Manager

Prestigious opportunity for a Cloud & Infrastructure Manager with expertise in Servers, platforms, virtualisation and cloud for a pioneering Managed IT Service Provider with locations across the North West. With over 30 years of exceptional service to SME organisations, from small start-ups to larger businesses and competencies in infrastructure, virtualisation, cloud, voice, platform integration and software development, we are seeking to expand our team. You will be responsible for:-

• Continuously identifying and evaluating technologies
• Leading infrastructure & cloud alignment projects - including:
  • Infrastructure refreshes - ie deployment of Unifi
  • Entra ID migrations - ie modernisation from Group Policy to inTune and refactoring from hybrid joined to Entra-governed
  • Azure migrations - ie migration from on-premises or refactoring from IaaS to PaaS/SaaS
  • Dedicated Connectivity Rollouts - ie leased lines etc
  • Teams Voice rollouts - ie migration from third party platform
• Managing & optimising aligned infrastructure & cloud platforms- including:
• Ensuring consistent performance & compliance
• Making technical decisions and resolving technical issues
• Identifying and driving automation opportunities
• Providing supervision and guidance to colleagues
• Acting as a point of escalation
• Documentation of architecture and identification/eradication of technical debt
• Ensuring technical/security policies are continuously applied
• Maintaining a stable and viable platform adhering to appropriate standards
• Lifecycle management

If you possess a combination of the following skills, then LETS TALK!

• Expertise in Windows server and Microsoft Cloud architecture
• Experienced in leading migrations, upgrades and implementations both en premise and cloud
• Significant experience gained from working for a Managed Service Provider is advantageous but not essential
• Proven track record in prioritising technical issues and resolving them in a timely fashion
• A deep understanding of the commercial and technology intersection
• Ability to lead and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience communicating professionally with stakeholders at all levels
