City St George's, University of London is seeking a clinician educator to establish, integrate, support and manage a group of MBBS Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTFs) employed by City St George's. The role works alongside partner trust CTFs to enhance the learning experience for MBBS students during placement, supporting the embedding of CTFs into placements and the development of teaching resources and sessions.
Responsibilities- Establish, integrate, support and manage a group of MBBS Clinical Teaching Fellows, and manage their induction and development.
- Work with the MBBS Quality Team and Practice Education Lead to identify placements that would benefit from CTF support and embed CTFs within them.
- Develop and maintain CTF learning resources, including a CTF Canvas webpage, and implement strategies to enhance placement learning.
- Review and act on student feedback, attend the Clinical Placements Meeting, and undertake a designated educational role in line with MBBS and Divisional priorities.
- Registered medical practitioner; consultant or career grade secondary care clinician.
- Experience of undergraduate education and a willingness to develop teaching and educational skills further.
- In depth knowledge of the obstacles and barriers to optimal learning in the clinical environment.
- Teamworking, networking and delegation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
