Job Description
Clinical Teaching & Research Fellow in ENT

Applications are invited for a Clinical Teaching & Research Fellow in ENT at the Royal National ENT Hospital, part of University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is a full-time (40hrs/week) 12 month fixed term contract starting September 2026, aligned with the new academic year at UCL. The role balances teaching, research and clinical service: 30% administration and delivery of undergraduate teaching, 20% research under supervision of the professorial unit and 50% supervised clinical service, with variations during academic terms and holidays.

Job responsibilities

Support educational leads and UCL medical school with administration and delivery of undergraduate teaching, conduct research under supervision, and deliver a supervised clinical service to patients.

Person specification Qualifications / Education
  • MRCS or equivalent Otolaryngology training
  • Qualification in education/teaching
Professional / Statutory Registration
  • Eligible for full registration with the GMC at appointment and hold a current licence to practise
  • Experience in bedside teaching, small group tutorials and classroom lectures
  • Experience of medical audit
  • Proficient clinical and surgical expertise in general otolaryngology
  • Commitment to education and training
