We are currently hiring Clinical Specialist Radiographer -Interventional Radiology for a reputed hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialised Interventional Radiology procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Assist radiologists and the multidisciplinary team during complex interventional procedures.
  • Operate and maintain specialised radiology equipment in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Ensure radiation protection and safety standards are maintained for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to Radiographers and junior staff members.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and procedural reports.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audit, and service improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Contribute to staff training, education, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, nurses, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Hold a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic), a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification must be recognised and validated by the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy with current CORU registration.
  • Minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience in Radiography.
  • Substantial experience in Interventional Radiology is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team of Radiographers.
  • Ability to manage both clinical and non-clinical situations efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff and management at all organisational levels.
  • High level of responsibility, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and interest in quality improvement initiatives within Interventional Radiology.
