- Salary: €68,897 to €80,302 pro rata per annum

Overview of the PostProvide a high standard of physiotherapy service to support primary therapists and service users & families in CHO 1 Cavan Services, including advanced and specialised work.
Use clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the physiotherapy team and other staff, while maintaining a clinical caseload on the Children's Disability Network Team.
Participate in ongoing audit and relevant work related research and evaluation projects.
Act as a positive and supportive team leader in the speciality, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
Apply advanced specialist knowledge and skills in the area of paediatric motor management.
Act in an advanced clinical advisory role to colleagues and the multidisciplinary team within the organisation.
Develop colleagues' knowledge and skills by facilitating decision making and collaborative client consultation.
Responsibilities- Provide specialist physiotherapy care for children and adults with motor disabilities.
- Maintain a clinical caseload within the Children's Disability Network Team.
- Deliver clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students.
- Coordinate clinics and work consultatively alongside consultant and lead therapists.
- Manage databases (e.g., hip surveillance, surgery, botulinum toxin) and conduct audits.
- Implement evidence based interventions including hydrotherapy and motor management techniques.
- Lead and participate in service development and practice standard development.
- Participate in education delivery and research activities.
- Registered or eligible for registration on the Physiotherapists Register (CORU).
- Five years of full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience, including four consecutive years in paediatric motor management.
- Proven record of clinical excellence in the specialism.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism (post graduate qualifications or relevant courses).
- Demonstrated achievement in clinical audit, quality improvement, teaching and research.
- Knowledge and ability in suitability, management, leadership and professional practice appropriate to the role.
- Prior experience in paediatric motor management, tone and posture management, CPIPS, hip surveillance, hydrotherapy, and clinical supervision.
- Valid driving licence and access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.
- Experience in group work and supervision of other staff and students.
- Physiotherapy caseload management and clinic coordination skills.
- Pool/shallow water lifeguarding qualification (preferred).
