Key Responsibilities

General Role Summary

• Candidates must be qualified for at least fiveyears, with a minimum of three consecutive years' clinical experience inolder persons' care.
• Experience in emergency care, outpatientservices, or integrated care models is desirable.
• The Clinical Specialist will deliver an expertOccupational Therapy service to meet the complex needs of older adultsacross acute and community interfaces.
• The role includes participation inextended hours, including shift and weekend work, to support timely andresponsive care.The existingshift pattern operates on a four-week rolling rota. However, this may besubject to change at any time to meet service demands and/or to covercolleagues' leave.
• The successful candidate will demonstrateleadership and clinical capabilities beyond senior grade level,particularly in service development, quality improvement, and research.
• A key focus will be the continuous advancementof clinical practice through audit, outcome measurement, and integrationof the latest evidence.
• The post-holder will lead and contribute tothe ongoing development of their specialist area and wider departmentalinitiatives.
• The postholder will require a full clean drivinglicence.
