Acting as the senior nursing resource and first point of contact for all wards, departments, consultants, and GPs, you'll ensure the smooth delivery of safe, high-quality care every day. You'll be a visible leader, enabling the best use of nursing resources and providing a professional, knowledgeable presence for all hospital users.If you're passionate about clinical excellence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a proven track record in senior nursing leadership, we'd love to hear from you. How you'll help us make health happen Maintain professional nursing standards in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and hospital policies. Act as a key coordinator across wards, departments, consultants, GPs, and all client groups-ensuring clear, timely communication. Manage emergency admissions efficiently, meeting the expectations of consultants, GPs, and patients. Work closely with the Patient Services Manager to optimise bed usage and resolve shortages, ensuring patients are cared for in the right specialty areas. Uphold hospital governance policies, including incident and near-miss reporting. Deliver a consistent, safe service throughout the patient journey, instilling a culture of customer service and monitoring effectiveness through patient feedback and clinical indicators. Provide visible leadership, engaging and supporting nursing staff at all levels. Support the learning and development of nursing teams and participate in performance management. Ensure new and existing Consultants meet clinical standards, escalating concerns as needed. What you'll bring First level registered nurse qualification Degree or equivalent experience Evidence of ongoing professional development Current ALS or EPALS certificate (or willingness to achieve within 6 months) Recent experience in a senior nursing role Demonstrated leadership and management skills Experience working in multidisciplinary teams Clinical audit, benchmarking, and complaints management experience Proven ability to develop and deliver training programmes and protocols Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills Strong analytical, organisational, and planning skills Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel) Benefits Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
